The top is secured shut with magnets that keep it closed well.It has an over the seat strap to secure it.The slim design allows you to slide it between seats, so I have it next to the drivers seat up front.With 2 kids, this is the perfect size bag to catch all the receipts, cups, wrappers, napkins, wipes, etc., that come up every day.
