Not too difficult to put up by a single mom who doesn't like technical things but took me a bit to figure it out - would've helped having two people setting it up. Only problem I have is getting it closed, you have to slam it hard for it too catch. Did notice a little high pitch whining with racks loaded and lost about 3-4 mpg with it. It would be a pain to take off and on every ski trip so going to leave it on for duration of ski season. Happy with it but almost wish I had gone for the yakima fat man for a lower profile rack instead.Kids love the decals.
