I just bought the SESSION pack to replace a 12-yr old Camelbak Rocket, and am thrilled with it.
I need a versatile pack for 2-3 hour road cycling, light trail biking, and sometimes 3-5 hour hikes.
I considered the Camelbak ROGUE, but it really doesn't have much storage space -- the SESSION is about the same size as the Rogue but has plentry of storage for my needs, including external compression straps which can hold a helmet or heavier jacket if needed.The waist strap is quickly removed, leaving the adjustable sternum strap to keep the pack stable.
The Hydrapak bladder really does work as they describe it - it disconnects from the tube for removal and then easily turns inside out for cleaning and to dry.Easy to fill 2/3rds with ice.Stays cold for hours.

Pros
1.small pack (short enough for road riding - can still use jersey pockets), light weight;
2.much more storage space than the competition.Easily holds mini-pump, 2 mtb tubes, wallet, phone, lunch, camera, tool-kit, patch kit and more.Even has a dedicated pocket for sunglasses.
3.versatile harness - romovable waist strap and separate adjustable sternum strap.
4. appears well-made of quality fabric.
5.easy to use and clean bladder - it hooks inside the compartment, instantly disconnects from the hose and is easy to fill and empty - the entire bladder top unfolds.

Bottom line:I'm amazed that this pack is only about the size of a sleek roadie hydration pack, but with the versatile pockets holds so much more than anything else in its class.
