(More customer reviews)I purchased this set of panniers for my 8 mi. each way commute.A backpack left me too sweaty and put strain on my lower back.And, since I need to bring my laptop (15.4") to and fro every day, balancing it on my rack was a real challenge.
The Seymour panniers are plenty roomy to fit the laptop and power supply on one side and all of the clothes/towels I need on the other.They are not overly bulky.I do bump my heel on the laptop back a few times throughout the ride, but I have size 12 feet, so I don't know a way around that.
I would imagine that there are other more rugged and truely water-proof bags out there that would out perform these bags, but they are likely to cost 3-5 times more.These are an excellent, budget-friendly set of bags that more than do the job.
